Machining and Fabrication are performed in Amtec's own shop that is staffed by highly qualified machinists and skilled fabrication craftsmen. The shop excels in prototyping, model making, fixturing, and manufacturing of small production quantities. Amtec has experience in the fabrication of prototype vehicles and the construction of unique test structures and specialized test equipment. We have sophisticated CNC machining equipment and utilize SURFCAM software to speed production of machine instruction code. The software capability also aids in 2D/3D mechanical designs, model mold making, pattern making, prototyping, production machining, and reverse engineering. Amtec's fabrication facility has a complete complement of cutting, welding, and materials handling equipment. Our background and expertise in close tolerance, specialized machining and fabrication enable us to perform demanding jobs - within cost and on schedule.

Special Test Equipment is necessary in testing both commercial and military hardware. Amtec has designed, developed and manufactured a variety of special test equipment items. These have supported both mechanical and electronic testing aspects for systems such as aircraft engines and and missile guidance systems, subsystems, and components. In addition to hardware items, projects have also included software needed for control, monitoring, data aquisition, and data storage.
