Amtec's history is rooted in "hands on" Test and Evaluation (T&E) Support and Services for both government and commercial customers. We provide this support over the total commodity life cycle (from initial design, through deployment and operation, and on to retirement). We provide T&E support at all levels (component, subsystem, system, and family-of-systems). Support includes test planning, test conduct, evaluation and reporting. We specialize in designing, building, and operating test facilities.

Having already played a key role in the integration of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) techniques into T&E processes, Amtec presently serves as the integration support contractor for development and implementation of the U.S. Army's Virtual Proving Ground.
- Missile flight testing (open air test range operations)
- Airborne/ground sensors laboratory and field testing (infrared, millimeter-wave, etc.)
- Shock/Vibration/Environmental testing at all assembly levels
- Laboratory testing and evaluation of mechanical, electronic, electro-optic, laser and other types of systems
- World-wide Stockpile Reliability/Field Surveillance testing

Amtec provides a wide range of individual and integrated services as needed to develop complex systems. These services include (but not limited to): model development for weapon systems, modeling and simulation applications and custom test/engineering database design. Our M&S experience includes Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) and Six-Degree-of-Freedom (6-DOF) Digital Simulations. Tools and experience include High Level Architecture (HLA) design and certification, Visual Model Development and Animation, Computer Aided Engineering, Solid Model Development, Surface Model Development, Finite Element Model Development, and Mechanical Design and Analysis.
